20 Things I Wish I Could've Told Myself Before Going to College

1. You're going to a completely different (amazing) place with completely different (amazing) people and you're going to have completely different (amazing) experiences.

2. You're faith is going to be completely tried and tested on every single level. It's going to be hard to attend church and institute by yourself every week. You're ward might seem a little weird (and small) at first, but you'll learn to love each individual.

3. Some people have never met a Mormon before. Some people think Mormons are weird. Be an example of your faith.

4. You're going to make the most amazing friends. They come from all different walks of life and you're going to become a family. Each of these girls are going to impact your life for the better.

5. You will learn what true love is.

6. There are people around you who will have lots of sex, drink lots of alcohol, and smoke lots of weed. LOVE THEM. LOVE THEM. LOVE THEM.

7. You'll learn that macaroni and cheese is an essential side dish to every meal and that biscuits and gravy is at the dining hall every morning for breakfast.

8. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY A SHIRT EVERY TIME YOU GO TO THE BOOKSTORE.

9. Never take an 8 am class

10. It's okay to cry. And you're going to cry. A LOT. You're going to cry because you miss your family. You're going to cry because school is hard. You're going to cry because people won't always say or act in the nicest way. You're going to cry because you miss your friends back at home.

11. Everything is going to work out between you and Desmond.

12. Be thankful you have an iPhone because you'll FaceTime Mel and Mom on a daily basis.

13. Don't get discouraged because you get an F on a quiz. It's just a quiz. Study better the next time.

14. FUTRALL IS BETTER THAN REID.

15. You're never going to really understand what's going on during football games. Just cheer when everyone is cheering and get angry when everyone is getting angry.

16. People don't believe the same things you do. Don't judge but respect their beliefs.

17. College is hard. The only class in high school that somewhat prepares you will be College Algebra. Thank Mr. Collier for teaching you because math will be SO EASY.

18. Arkansas is beautiful. But you'll always have a spot in your heart for the Rockies.

19. You're going to hate having your bed lofted and you're going to change is mid-semester.
